Eric Manchester joins Lee Ryder, Cory Evans, Eric Hanson and Johnny Davenport as the newest inductee into the Max Sohl porn star Hall of Fame.
One of my favorite tops from the pre-condom era – Eric has that 70’s (or 80’s) bad boy look mixed with the face of a Botticelli angel that makes me melt. He has some great scenes – one where he fucked a guy while camping in the woods, another where he almost rapes a dude in a locker room and one of my favorites where he fucks a guy on a kitchen counter. Yes – there is a Best of Eric Manchester compilation and all these scenes are in it.
I tried to find out what happened to him and I’ve seen some posts that he escorted in San Francisco as late as 2007 and a rumor that he may have passed away that same year. There isn’t any record that says definitively what happened to him and someone owns a website in his name with a bio saying he wants to get back into the porn business.

I have always had a thing for Eric…he was one of the sexiest of the 70s/80s porn stars…the kind you’d want to bring home to mother. Him and Tony Bravo. A “Best of Eric Manchester” tape would include every inch of film he appeared in.
I would nominate Rob Cryston and Kyle McKenna. Rob was a great bottom and could top in S&M. Kyle was clearly a tortured soul who found expression as a bottom who wanted to be humiliated and abused. Unfortunately he took the latter to the extreme when he committed suicide. But he left a legacy of bottom work that still takes my breath away.
