Today is a day to celebrate because on this day Brad McGuire was born.
I wear my adoration for Brad on my sleeve. I say it all the time: Brad McGuire can do no wrong in my book. So here’s a collection of Brad McGuire moments – all of which have special meaning to me…
This is the first time I saw Brad McGuire on video from Paul Morris’ RIDING BILLY WILD. I saw this movie when it first came out and I musta watched the section where Brad breeds Billy a gazillion times. I can still hear Brad saying “Where do you want the load?”
This is the day I first met Brad McGuire in person – it was at that leather convention in Chicago in 2006. I didn’t shoot the scene, I sat in the corner like a fly on the wall and watched the scene unfold like a little schoolgirl watching a Justin Bieber concert as Brad McGuire and Ben Archer took turns impaling Christian. This scene is in Paul’s BREEDING SEASON and was shot in the room that I was staying in. I had happy dreams that night.
This is the first time I ever directed Brad McGuire on Fire Island fucking Dawson in MEAT PACKING. If you know Dawson like I know Dawson, I knew if I didn’t get him and Brad’s scene shot ASAP after we got off the ferry, I was going to have a tough time keeping him off of Brad’s dick. As soon as they both arrived we shot this immediately so I could capture them fucking for the first time and it’s probably still one of the best scenes I have ever filmed.

It was the summer of 2003 and I was a fairly well known avant-garde theater director and porn lover. Somehow I stumbled on Treasure Island Media. The first Paul Morris video that I saw was WHAT I CAN’T SEE and by the time I got to RIDING BILLY WILD – and in particular – the moment when BRAD McGUIRE asks Billy where he wants his load – I was a disciple. After devouring every Treasure Island Media video I could get my hands on (which was no easy task, back in 2003, finding a Treasure Island Media video in New York City was like searching for the Holy Grail) I sent Paul a fan letter. I think what I really wanted to do was be IN a Treasure Island Media video, but somehow our conversation steered over to the fact that I was a director. Paul suggested that I video someone jerking off. I can’t recall if I said it or only thought it, but one thing was certain – if I was going to make porn, it wasn’t going to be a simple solo jack off clip. I contacted my best bareback top buddy and then went scouring for a bottom for him to fuck. I told them I was looking to make a porn audition demo and they agreed. The thing I loved about this particular top was we were both intensely into anonymous fuck scenes. I set up 3 cameras in my bedroom and had the bottom come over and get spread eagle on the bed. A short time later the top rang the bell like he had done so many times before and before long he was using the bottom to get his load out.
There was a rare raw chemistry between the two guys and what Paul later called a NYC fuck energy that the top possessed. After the top came, I admitted to the guys that I think I missed the cumshot! So they offered to continue fucking until the top came again (turns out later, I didn’t miss the cumshot, so the end result was I ended up with a top cumming twice in a matter of minutes. I edited the shoot down to a 25-minute scene and called it THE HUNGRY HOLE. It had a definitive point of view, I wanted Paul Morris and any one he showed it to, to jerk off and cum to it – I presented it as a thank you for all the times I had shot a load watching Treasure Island Media videos. I shipped the DVD off to San Francisco.
About a week later I came home and was pretty surprised to find Paul Morris on my answering machine telling me to call him ASAP. If you have every heard Paul’s voice in any of his videos you know he vocally just reeks of sex. I was shocked to get a personal call and not really sure what to make of it. When we finally got on the phone Paul told me how much he liked the scene and then on the spot told me he would produce any porn I wanted to direct. In fact, he thought THE HUNGRY HOLE was so good that he wanted to release it as my porn debut – of course, the only problem was I didn’t get the 2 guys to sign model releases. The bottom agreed, but the top emphatically said no. Every couple of years I still in vain contact him and ask him again if we can release the scene and he always says no. Maybe someday I will get a yes.
And so it began…
